Best Food on Daufuskie Island

If you're looking for a family-friendly event with delicious seafood, then you won't want to miss out on this Fall Festival! We will have food and drink specials, like all-you-can eat oysters and more! Freeport Marina is hosting this event so be sure to take advantage of docking your boat for free. We will also have crab races and other games for children as well.

In addition, the Daufuskie Fall Fest will be serving true Daufuskie Island Deviled Crabs. Other regions often boil their hard boiled crabs in a spicy vinegar and horseradish sauce; but on Daufuskie, we prefer to spice them with dill sauce flavored with vinegar, horseradish, pepper and some "secret ingredients" that we must keep to ourselves :)

Locals & Tourists Both Love Food from the Old Daufuskie Crab Co. Restaurant!

Daufuskie Island, located in South Carolina, has many picturesque scenes perfect for taking a scenic photo. You can find Bloody Point Lighthouse and Silver Dew Winery on the island. Parking your boat at Freeport Marina is free - then you can rent golf carts from "Not so General" General Store!

The Fall Season on Daufuskie Island, South Carolina

If you are considering a trip to Daufuskie Island, visit during early autumn. It is the prime time for color changes in leaves which make for one of nature's most beautiful sights. For people who love and appreciate nature, this would be an amazing opportunity to both see and capture memories before they say goodbye.

Lowcountry Locals love to spend a lot of time at the Old Daufuskie Crab Company restaurant, which is by the waterfront and is famous for its seafood and live music entertainment. You can sit near the water while enjoying excellent food and excellent live music.

Both tourists and locals alike both love eating our shrimp, oyster, and fish entrees with an ice cold beer, or better yet, a Scrap Iron cocktail. A single Scrap Iron cocktail can be just the liquid courage many hesitant people need to get them up and out on a dance floor! Friends and family always go out of their way to come visit here for dinner and live music, and we truly appreciate the business and overall support.
